More cat checking

The kittens are fine. I’m taking Marlowe back to the vet in the morning so they can try to get a urine sample. I suspect that she’s the one with the problem. She hasn’t been her usual lordly self lately.

I chopped some ice today, to drain the huge puddles that are forming in our street and lane. So I think I’ll go to bed now.

Checking out the cats

One of the cats is peeing blood. There was some around the drain of the bathtub this morning. I packed the kittens and Marlowe and took them to the vet. The kittens are acting normally but they’re the ones most often in the bathtub. Marlowe jumps in occasionally and she has been in a bad mood, less dominating than usual, and touchy about her rear end being petted. So she’s a candidate. Emily never jumps into the bathroom and is her normal self.

The vet and technicians drew urine samples from the kittens, which seemed clear but will be examined under a microscope to make sure there are no blood cells. Marlowe forestalled the samplers by peeing in the carry-cage. They couldn’t get enough of a clean sample and so skipped her. But I don’t like the smell of her wet fur: to me it smells of illness. So she’s my current choice for the cat with a problem. I’m still waiting to hear from the vet about the kittens’ samples, though.

Meet a professional organizer

logo Get Organized NowSandy Wright of WrightEdge Solutions says,

“Here’s a description of my typical workday.

  • During a first session, which is 2 hours, I interview the client as to the organizing goals, barriers and others who may share the space.
  • I tour the area to understand the living style and get a feeling for what might or might not work.
  • During that session a plan is developed and at least one element is begun. Subsequent followup is discussed and scheduled if appropriate.
  • Followup sessions are usually 1-2 hour work sessions with my providing a session log with ‘homework’ to be done by the client and suggested products.”
