Successful surgery for Goldie

Sometimes it seems almost immoral to spend so much care and attention on pets when people are dying for lack of food, water, and medical care. Nevertheless, Goldie came through her spaying just fine and can go home to my son tomorrow.

Day for night

Somehow my day and night have gotten turned around over the course of a couple of days. I stayed up late Saturday night blogging, and later still Sunday night - til about 4:00 a.m. Then I got up about 9:30 for swimming and errands. I came home and fell asleep after lunch - and slept til 20:30! Then I went out and picked up my son’s younger cat from his place so I can take her to the vet tomorrow to be spayed. (Below is a picture of her in January.) Then I had supper.

So I’m going to bed now. I have to get up early. I guess tomorrow I’ll be back on the day shift.

Neuter your pets

All my pets are neutered, but there’s one more to take care of. My son adopted a stray calico kitten last winter. Her name is Goldie. Tonight I picked her up so I can take her to the vet at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow to be spayed. Here’s a link about the benefits of neutering. So we accept that it’s good for animals not to suffer from overpopulation.
