Cat back again

Marlowe didn’t show up last night but she was here this morning, sleeping on the couch.

Unfortunately, she’s been under a car and she had a bad spot of car oil on her head and more in her fur. When she started to clean herself I intervened and mixed flour into the short hair on top of her head. I rubbed in the flour until the hair stopped sticking together in spikes. That took quite a few pinches of flour. The flour absorbed the oil. Then she shook her head and grey flour flew in all directions. I brushed the top of her head and rubbed it with a bit of nubbly terrycloth to get the rest of the flour out. She put up with it pretty well.

Finally she hissed at me and wanted to leave. I wouldn’t let her out: I don’t want her to sleep under a car again. Instead, I gave her some soft catfood. After inspecting several spots and finding them wanting, she went upstairs and went to sleep.
