Today, we adopted an eight-week-old kitten whose mother had showed up, lost and pregnant, at the home of a colleague. Now to introduce it to our two resident cats. I chose the most diffident one so it will fit in with a dominant senior and a skittish junior cat.
My son’s old cat died recently. My son adopted another kitten and the mother cat. He chose a more mischievous, outgoing kitten, which should fit in with his playful, half-grown cat, Kliocatra.
Both kittens are grey tabbies, but ours has the more blurred markings. The mother has a pale tortoiseshell pattern.
