Pilates, June 25

As the Integrated Fundamentals class of Coyne Pilates inches ever closer to Intermediate status, we do lots of little tiny motions and refinements to previously learned exercises.

That’s not to say it’s always easy. We’re breathing into our ribs, settling into our shoulders, floating our feet, curling our spines, anchoring our shoulder blades, tightening our pelvic floors, engaging our abdominal muscles, lowering our shoulders, gliding our scapulae around, reaching for the floor, sitting up no-hands, lying back no-hands, and always breathing!

I’ve been to pilates before.. yoga can be similar to that.. but it doesn’t have more meditations like yoga.. that would be fun to do.. you can carry yourself even if you think you can’t try it.. 😉
