Swim practice, October 22

Swim workout in 25-yard pool, overseen by Coach Kelvin:

  • warm-up: freestyle, easy 50 yd. x 1 = 50
  • body core rolling, 50 yd. x 1 = 50
  • freestyle with pullbuoy & paddles:
    • 50 yd. concentrating on angle of attack in catch = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on pulling with a flat hand = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on recovering with a high elbow = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on a subtle catch = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on a deep pull = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on a slicing transition = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on a strong push = 50
    • 50 yd. concentrating on release & recovery = 50
    • 100 yd. practising the attack = 100
    • 100 yd. practising roll by kicking, then 50 more = 150
    • 100 yd. freestyle with paddles = 100
    • 100 yd. freestyle without paddles x 2 = 200
    • 50 yd. freestyle = 50

    Total: 1100 yd. or 990 metres.
