A secular grace

I like this anecdote from GaryU:

At Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, Step-Daughter asked me if I’d say grace before the meal. I declined. But, while we were all sitting down to eat, I said, “I just wanted to say thanks again to [Step-Daughter] and [her S.O] for hosting dinner this year. I know it is a lot of work, and I really appreciate it.” Step-Daughter replied, “Amen”. Now, there’s a prayer I can get behind.
